Introduction Welcome to my first blog post! As a Project Manager in a Japanese IT software development company, my world is often defined by two things: precision and adaptation. Whether I am navigating the complexities of a software build or observing the shifts in the global market, the goal remains the same—continuous improvement, or what we call Kaizen.
The Morning Rhythm: Sprints and Scrums My day typically kicks off with the Daily Scrum. In the fast-paced environment of software development, these 15 minutes are crucial. It’s not just a status update; it’s about alignment and removing blockers to ensure the team moves as one.
From there, I dive into the Backlog. One of my primary roles is to curate and prioritize these tasks to be channeled into the next Sprint. It’s a delicate balancing act of managing time, resources, and technical debt to ensure we deliver value to our users without burning out the team.
Bridging Two Worlds: Stakeholders and Code A significant portion of my day is spent in Stakeholder Meetings. This is where the “translation” happens. I take complex business flows and high-level visions, then distill them into actionable technical tasks for our programming team. Being the bridge between business logic and technical execution is where I find my greatest professional fulfillment—ensuring that every line of code serves a clear purpose.
The Market Observer: The Art of DCA When I’m not managing roadmaps, I shift my focus to being a Market Observer. I believe that the discipline I use in IT—consistency and data-driven decisions—applies perfectly to the financial world.
I am a strong advocate of DCA (Dollar Cost Averaging). Instead of trying to time the market perfectly, I systematically allocate my investment portions across various instruments:
- Mutual Funds & Stocks: For long-term stability and growth.
- Gold: As a hedge against volatility.
- Crypto & Others: For high-alpha opportunities when the market environment is favorable.
My allocation strategy is dynamic; I adjust my focus depending on which instrument is performing well or showing the most potential based on current market trends.
Final Thoughts: The Lifelong Learner Whether it’s a new programming framework, a more efficient Agile methodology, or a shift in global macroeconomics, I am driven by the joy of learning something new. This blog will be the place where I share my reflections on these journeys.
Thank you for being here at the start. Let’s learn, adapt, and grow together.
